Our first retreat in October 2018 was so much fun, we immediately wanted to do it again! And so we did! From Friday 18th October 2019 until Sunday 20th October 2019 we gathered once more in Llandaff with some truly fabulous tutors, delicious cake and (mostly) good weather like 2018!
The weekend kicked off on Friday 18th October at 6pm when we had a meet and greet knit night at Llandaff Rowing Club. There was a buffet laid on, and much more room for elbows and yarn flicking than we had in 2018! Then in a similar vein to last year, we spent the Saturday and Sunday in Insole Court, Llandaff. The rooms were perfect for our workshops, and it was so lovely and sociable in the big hall in the evening.
We had four wonderful tutors bringing eight workshops, each and every one being something that we would love to learn ourselves! Included in the price was two workshops, and there was the option of a third class at an additional fee.
The tea, coffee and cake was freely and lavishly available again! Saturday evening saw us order in food to eat together whilst we got on with the knitting and chatting. We brought back the really popular bring and take table as well as the brilliant pile of door prizes which were raffled.
We’re already looking forward to next year. We have some fabulous tutors booked to come and teach interesting things, and can’t wait to tell you all about them!
