Cardiff, 2018

  • A fun and friendly retreat. Really well organised with some fabulous workshops. Thank you Jennie and Zoe for all your hard work
  • It was a brilliant weekend, well organised with great workshops. Lots of laughs, new friends and lots of cake. 😍 Although don’t print this as I want to be able to come next October, if you make it sound as good as it was it will be harder to get a space….. 🤪
  • Such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with great workshop options. Oh, and there was a lot of cake 🙂
  • An absolutely brilliant retreat, so well organized from start to finish (and beyond)!

  • Honestly still buzzing a week after. What an exceptionally well organised and enjoyable event.
  • The Knit-Tea Retreat was a wonderful assemblage of knitters and yarn and courses and tea and SO MUCH CAKE. I’ve made new friends and turned internet friends into face-to-face friends over a glorious weekend full of yarn and food and laughter. 10/10 would attend again!
  • Fantastic time at the retreat would highly recommend Zoe and Jennie were brilliant at organising it and everything was perfect. Met some lovely people and the venue was beautiful.
  • The Knit-Tea Retreat was excellent. Jennie and Zoe are superstars and I would absolutely attend again (actually, I’m already planning for next year). The atmosphere was great, the classes were well organised and the market place had so many beautiful things on sale. Plus, who doesn’t love hanging out with other knitters for a weekend? A+++++++!
  • A wonderful retreat in a glorious venue. A great weekend of classes and chatting and of course knitting!
  • I loved the event which was so well organised – there were plenty of updates, refreshments and activities to engage in. Insole Court is a gorgeous location and we were really lucky with the weather. The Bring & Take Table was a highlight!
  • A lovely weekend with excellent workshops and also time for socialising and knitting.
  • Awesome weekend, with a year on Ravelry to interact with other attendees + KAL’s
  • The best weekend ever!
  • I never wanted the weekend to end, fantastically planned and excellently executed. I highly recommend going to a retreat if at all possible. I came from Sweden and it was so worth the travel!
  • Hell yeah, it was amazing and I’ll be waiting impatiently for next year.
  • The first Knit Tea Retreat was amazing! It was so much fun to take part, meet everyone and take part in all the lessons. The retreat was so well organised and so much fun – thank you Jennie and Zoe!
  • The Knit-tea Retreat was one of the best weekends I have had. Spending it amongst fellow knitters on both a social and educational was really fun and lots of new friends were made. The organisation of the whole event was exceptional and I would definitely attend another retreat – oh wait, I am!
  • It was a truly magical experience and I can’t wait until next year.

Stratford-upon-Avon, 2019

  • This was my first retreat, I had a fantastic time met lots of lovely people.
  • I had an absolutely brilliant time at the Stratford Retreat, being with like-minded crafters was so lovely. Coming alone was perfect as it allowed me to meet so many new people and everyone was so friendly that it was easy to start conversations and people even know who I was from Instagram. If you’re thinking about attending and are worried about coming alone, don’t be but definitely find Ravelry and introduce yourself beforehand. Relaxing and just what I needed!
  • I can highly recommend this retreat. The whole weekend is relaxed, super friendly, very well organised and perfect for friends attending together or anyone on their own. Everyone mixed together and the venue itself was perfect. The Sunday Market was a very good way to end the weekend. I am already looking forward to next year! A huge thanks to Zoe and Jennie! Xx
  • Fantastic weekend, can’t wait to do it again
  • An excellent retreat! Really enjoyable and every knitter & crocheter would enjoy x
  • I had a fantastic weekend in Stratford meeting up with old friends and new, I real wish it could have lasted longer
  • Zoe and Jenny were impressive hosts and I enjoyed the whole weekend. There were unexpected surprises in each day which were delightful. They talked us through each day’s events extremely well and encouraged us to move around and chat to everyone. I particularly enjoyed the Craft Table idea. I had to leave early and missed out on the Market Place but it all looked so pretty and inviting set out. I thought they were very professional and ran an excellent Retreat.
  • I flew to the retreat and I have no regrets that I did attend this wonderful weekend. I got to spend time with one of my best friends and I also had time to make new friends and connections. I mean where else can you walk up to people and go: Can I feel your sweater, what pattern is this?
  • A special shout out to cute Gwen, the little assistance dog. She honestly was a little mascotte and a great people connector.
  • One of the most relaxing and interesting weekends I have had in ages.
  • A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Well organised. Plenty of activities to keep us entertained. I have already recommended it to others
  • Brilliant weekend – well organised and a lot of fun! A great chance to get together with a group of knitters, knit, relax, drink copious amounts of tea and eat cake (what more could you want?) It didn’t matter that I didn’t know anyone beforehand – I have come away with lots of new knitting friends!
  • Zoe and Jennie are the perfect hosts – just really lovely ladies, lots of fun, and down to earth – putting attendees at ease. The retreat was one big fun social event- with a good mix of ages: really great goodie bags, various fun activities and lots of time for knitting, relaxing and making new friends. And it was affordable! I enjoyed it very much – thank you both for the time and effort you put into organising the weekend xx
  • Thanks for making my first ever Knitting Retreat so enjoyable – I loved it from beginning to end! Everyone was so friendly & welcoming, and Jennie & Zoe are excellent hosts.
  • A great excuse for a mini break away from the normal commitments of every day life. The weather helped (it was glorious); the attendees were great (I was worried about going because I’ve never been to a retreat); Zoe, Jenny, Mr Pins, Zoe’s mum, the Dave dog (yep, even he was part of the event)… great team effort. If you get the chance to go, do not hesitate and book up (but leave a space for me!!!)
  • I loved it! It was a completely restorative weekend with my best friend, and as a bonus we made quite a few lovely new friends.
  • I had a very lovely relaxing weekend, with friends old and new. Happy Days! I’ll be back!
  • Everyone at the retreat, without exception, was welcoming and that can’t be improved upon. I was nervous about attending on my own but I felt like I belonged so quickly. There was just the right balance between fun activities and time to simply knit and make new friends in a lovely venue and town. Roll on next year!
